For over 10 years, the two of us have trained and served with YWAM, primarily based in Australia and Scotland and leading ministry teams in various locations around the world.

Here are some highlights of the things we have been up to...

Both of us have have been involved in leading Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) for several years, taking teams to India, Thailand, East Timor, and other nations. Seeing people's lives being transformed by the knowledge of Christ and His love, while helping to release them into ministry was an amazing experience.

Eliza had the opportunity to be a part of a pioneering team that ran the first DTS in Riga, Latvia. It was a challenging experience but she learned a lot about what it means to start a ministry, rely on God in greater ways and be resourceful!

Tim helped pioneer and co-lead a local outreach team in Scotland, focused on connecting with our local community, as well as serving in various ministry opportunities across Scotland. This was a great time of developing and implementing the team's vision to "Hear the Father's voice and do what He says".

Eliza completed her Primary Health Care course in 2008, working in clinics and teaching community health classes in Indonesia and Tanzania. She enjoyed using her practical gifts and training to meet the needs of the people she met, and saw how it opened the door for people to hear the good news and receive prayer.

Together we completed our Community Transformation and Development School in Tijuana Mexico, 2014, which opened our eyes to a greater perspective on what biblical transformation means and how to apply it to our ministry. As a part of this school we did outreaches to various places including indigenous communities in Arizona (USA), working on sustainable agriculture models in Costa Rica and serving refugees in Cyprus.

We have been involved with teaching and training in other areas, as well as prayer ministry for unreached people groups, and mentoring students. We have also served 'behind the scenes' in practical areas of ministry including maintenance, hospitality and various administrative roles.

The opportunities and experiences that we've each had through those years of ministry before we met, as well as the last 5 years we've been married have certainly been some of the most fulfilling and life changing times that we've known so far. We have seen God take our individual gifts, strengths and passions and start interweaving them in such a way that our life and ministry are richer because of what we can bring to others as a couple.

What's Next?

We are embarking on a new step joining a pioneering YWAM team in Boise, Idaho, which is also where Tim is from. The team here has been working with refugees for the last year and have made amazing connections in the community.  We have really felt God put refugees on our heart over the years and now have an opportunity to serve in this area, knowing that God can use our training and experience in disaster relief and community development to reach out to these people coming from areas of crisis and help them find friendship and community here in Boise. Our heart is to see individuals and communities begin to develop both materially, socially and spiritually and ultimately for them to experience the holistic transformation that comes from being in relationship with God.

"When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born.

Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt."

(Leviticus 19:33-34)

"For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:

“Love your neighbor as yourself.""

(Galatians 5:14)
