Chilling out and seeing friends

After a great time in Arizona, Eliza and I drove back to Tijuana where we have been enjoying much more humane temperatures and some very welcomed time-off. We were able to house-sit for some friends for a week and it was so nice to have some space to ourselves after several months of fairly tight, shared living quarters. We've been doing a lot of reading, relaxing, watching movies and hanging out at the pool and are feeling very refreshed from that. This has been especially good for Eliza since this is the first real restful break that she has been able to take since moving from Scotland.

This week we were also able to catch up with a friend of Eliza's who came down from San Diego. Eliza staffed her Discipleship Training School and lead her outreach to India in 2004 so it was a great time to get caught up on life and reminisce about their adventures together.

Yesterday we caught up with the new believers in Antorcha. It was good to visit with them, pray with them and encourage them through their struggles. One family, has been trying for months to get their son out of prison, he was unlawfully imprisoned and is under age. We have been standing with them in prayer and they received good news that they may be able to bring him home. They have a meeting with the officials this Friday and we are praying that he will be released. It was encouraging for us to see their faith and trust in God for a miracle in this situation.

Cheerio,

Eliza and Tim
